Art Journal Challenge, Dec 2014: Wishes

This is not a terribly artful page, but it is journaling. And I was wishing my sisters, daughter and niece a great day. And I got all these responses in less than an hour. I had to do something with them. So I played. The images are from Google - results of a search on the day in question - it is a "real" holiday, apparently. The cocoa mug is from the SG Dec 2009 freebie collection, JDE; the papers are MPE_SlightlyShabby_Ppr-SPEC, and TKA_Mocha_SweetStuff_SPEC (ret coll), lighten blend, 75% over SNU_CocoaCouture2-Ppr-Cocoa. Fonts are Bradley Hand and Black Jack. I used PSE bevel on the title, and SBA_Basic Shadows on the images.

Thanks for the challenge, Jody & Marilyn. Maybe I'll actually make the chat next time!

Haha, I loved reading all your chocolate-email responses, Jo - they're great! I didn't know I missed Chocolate Covered Anything Day, hmmmm... I wonder what I might have covered! :D Your background is great and your symbols so yummy! I really like the border around your page too - but your journaling steals the show. Thanks for adding your "Wish..." layout to the Art Journaling Gallery. :)

Luckily I celebrate this every day so I didn't miss out haha... I even over achieve and celebrate "Chocolate covered IN anything day" lol...

Love the idea of "wish" here and how you managed to engage so many people in it! The dark page with the great embellishments really works and I enjoyed the journaling! Thanks for playing along with us!
