I thought this quote I found on Pinterest really summed up all our decision making process about finalizing my retirement date.

Journaling reads:
I gave my notice for retirement. Yikes am I ready? What will it be like not to have to work 12 hr shifts or give up weekends for the hospital? This weekend I missed watching the girls get ready for Jobs ... Danielles first formal dance because of work. I would have loved to get my own photos. It will be good to have more time for the grands. I had them in mind when I chose my word for 2015. The word is experience. I want us to have lots of experiences together. Sunday was a good example. We took Lily and Sara to the movie Annie. I love musicals and hope they will too. And of course retirement itself should create some new experiences. Meanwhile across town at East High Tom was studying for finals at Coca and Cram What a creative idea!
