A Week of CHAOS; JJ Week 3 LO
The last two weeks have been a major disruption of our retired lifestyle. One appointment was changed so I could take one daughter to a doctor – her driving with vertigo was not a good idea. Another was rescheduled so we could support the other daughter in a child custody hearing. She was advised that she must fully separate from her husband – leave the house – before a ruling would be made. So she moved in with us, and this week began the weekly rotation of our grandchildren, according to the plan they had agreed upon during mediation. She and both children were with us all week, and we dealt with three different departure times for school, dance practice and winter swim practice, as well as homework. Everyone cooperated well, but it was not exactly peaceful, or tidy. Saturday she moved into an apartment, and Sunday the children went to their father’s house for the week.
I am grateful that we are close enough to be able to help both daughters, and glad that they feel comfortable asking for help. But I found this week just a bit stressful, and exhausting. So I vented; this is the result. It will not be printed, will never appear in a scrapbook, and I will probably delete it from the gallery after a week or so. Thanks for the opportunity to get the chaos out of my system.
