Week 25 June 22

April Showers
 Share

I did a page per day for our trip to Yellowstone in June, all the journaling is on this page though. So glad I wrote this all down when it was current, or I'd be in big trouble.

Sunday we went to church , then drove to Yellowstone. We went to Old Faithful that evening. There weren't many people there and we watched a beautiful sunset while we waited. Monday we visited the Geyser Basins , saw Old Faithful again and drove to see the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. Tuesday we visited the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and hiked Uncle Tom's trail to the lower falls. We went to Mammoth on Wednesday and had lunch with a herd of elk. We drove the other side of that loop and ended the day at the Norris Geyser Basin. Thursday it was pouring, so we checked out of our hotel a day early. We went to Old Faithful again and the rain stopped while we visited the nearby geysers. We had lunch there and then headed to the Grand Tetons. We drove through a lightning storm and could hardly see the mountains. We stopped at the Jenny Lake visitor center for a bit and it cleared up enough for use to see the peaks. We drove back to Burley that night and finished the drive home on Friday.

Thanks for looking!

Those tiny borders look great on this page and I love that shade of green. Wonderful photos and I really enjoyed reading about your trip.

Your photos are beautiful, April; you captured Old Faithful perfectly. I really like the way you arranged them, and the embellishment on the journaling block.

Yellowstone is such an amazing place to visit. We've been twice, and I still haven't scrapped those photos. Gotta add them to my to-do list.
