Thanks for a fun Week 1 challenge.

Journaling: Chambers Creek has long been a place of creation. From this land, urbanization of the Puget Sound was born. Over the last century, the gravel pits on this property gave rise to nearly all of the roads, highways, buildings, and bridges built in the Seattle and Pierce County area. Now the 930 acres are undergoing a transformation from a literal wasteland into a place of incredible beauty and purpose. John and Tina walked the trails on January 30, 2015 and Tina snapped photos of the spectacular views. In June 2015, the 115th U.S. Open will be held at the championship golf course on the property. You can see some of the course in the small photo on the right.

I really like the technique you used on the background. Very "artsy"! I also like how you bound the 2 photos together. Nice story!

Oh I love the "water color" effect that gave the background photo. Everything is so cool in this layout...the bright green leaves and the way you tied the other two photos together. Beautiful.

Well deserved winning the weekly challenge. Using the photo treatment and the two original photos you took, you've created a very interesting layout here. Awesome!
