Weekend Challenge 150208 Doughnuts

I was thinking of offering the photo I took recently of the produce display at the grocery store (what beautiful colors!) but looking for it, I came across this series. Talk about memories! I can still smell the doughnuts! I wanted the circular shape of the sketch challenge, but found this midway collection instead in the boutique and it is perfect. Thanks, Sherrie!

Journaling:

I don't remember if this was a state fair or an apple picking event, but it was a beautiful fall day. I had so much fun watching the doughnuts drop out of the machine, flip over and drop onto the plate. And the smell - hot grease, cinnamon and sugar, a hint of apple and frying dough. Heaven! I close my eyes and I can smell it all and feel the sun, the pleasant fall day and the excitement of the crowd around me.

Wow, Aggie. I haven't had much of an appetite, but admit that your photos and very descriptive journaling/notes actually made me hungry for one of those donuts and I'm not even normally fond of donuts! You chose the perfect collection for your food memory and your layout is so bright and cheery it made me smile. Thanks for joining in the Weekend Challenge.

Super page..I love the fall fair feel to this page. It looks yummy and I am feeling pretty hungry for a donut. Your journaling is really wonderful, it tells your story in such detail I almost feel like i am there in line waiting for one.

What great photos of a memorable day! I enjoy watching donuts made that way, too. The collection you picked fits the fair/festival photos beautifully. I like the way you put one of the photos inside the booth.
