Project Life, week08-2015
journaling:
This was another week where we were consumed by the threat of more snow. We
were lucky though, we had some fat fluffy snow Wednesday night, but it was gone by
noon on Thursday. We finally got Flat Stanley in the mail to Nebraska. I hope I did all the
right things for Dane’s project.
I’m taking a photo a day during Lent, following the challenge word posted at rethinkchurch.org.
It’s interesting to see how the other participants interpret the challenge. On Thursday I finally
used my mom-in-law’s breadmaker. Oh my goodness, it was delicious! I can’t wait to try out
some of the other recipes.
We suffered two losses this week, one in real life quasi-family and another in our virtual artistic family. Our dear friend Ruth
Corbett passed at home after two weeks in Hospice care. Her son Russell is Dave’s best friend, and our daughter’s
God father. In Virtual fandom, we are all mourning the loss of Leonard Nimoy who has been our
“Spock” for over 50 years. He seemed immortal.
My eye continues to heal. I can see “over” the bubble now where I haven’t had sight in over 6
months! Saturday evening we had dinner with two other couples from church. New friends are nice!
