Brown-Headed Nuthatches

For today's challenge, I chose a monochromatic approach. The page has a bit more color than I anticipated, but it's all in the photos. And I'm not sure I have just four shades of brown. I scraplifted one of my own pages - DH's brown-headed nutcrackers snapped in 2011. That challenge was to create a non-Christmas page using Christmas products, and I used Brandy Murry's White Christmas. I was going to include the link, but I can't find the page in the gallery. My notes show that it was posted Dec.18, 2011. I copied the original LO, flipped it horizontally, added one photo, and changed the embellishments. All of the products are in the EXIF file, except for the brown leaves. Those were extracted from photos DH took on the same day, apparently near the nuthatches.

Thanks for a challenge that I could use with this week's goals! And thanks for looking.

This is beautiful! All the browns in the papers and embellies really enhance the colors in the photos. I like how you used the paper fold and clever to use of the extracted leaves.

I think all the browns here are perfect and look wonderful together. I like the branches and leaves tucked behind the pictures. Your husband got some terrific photos!

Fabulous photos of the Nuthatch. I love brown, and this layout is certainly filled with it. Love the blending of the lights you did on the photos and how you framed them. Your extractions are perfect.

Thank you, Carol - but I can't take credit for the photo backgrounds. Those were created in the camera. I did enhance the color a bit with PSE's camera raw editing, but I didn't blur the background.
