Project Life, week09-2015

Tuesday we took Dave’s mom to see Willie Nelson in concert! The show was

at the historic Ryman Auditorium. He was super for his age, 81! His opening

act was Rainey Qualley. What an amazing voice!

Backing up just a bit, we went to Longhorn Steak House for dinner on Sunday. Our dinner was delicious, and just

look at that strawberry daiquiri! I found the hat at WalMart, I really need to go back and buy it.

Wednesday it rained all day. Our yard was nothing but mud, and the ditch behind the house was filled with

water. Choir was cancelled that night because by 7pm the rain was turning to ice and around midnight it turned

to snow. Tim tried to reschedule for Thursday night, but too many of the roads were nothing but ice. Here in

Smyrna we got 2 inches of snow. You can see the before and after photos of the yard. Around 6:15 am

it was snowing so hard we couldn’t see the Nissan factory just past our housing development.

Dusty decided he was quite comfy laying in the snow on the back patio. We took pity on the

birds who can’t seem to find our feeder, and we tossed seed on the snow out front. We finally

had a pair of cardinals, and a life bird for me: a white-crowned sparrow!

Friday morning I had my 5-week follow up with the eye surgeon. He says the retina has re-attached

and to stop the eye drops. The scan shows one iffy spot in the center,

but he’s hopeful for more healing. I see him again in 5 weeks. On

Saturday I made my late sister’s blackberry cobbler. So good!!!
