Weeds, Mostly

These pictures of what's growing in my "garden" were taken on Earth Day, and I had the newsletter challenge for April 21 in mind, but didn't get around to scrapping them until yesterday. Since most of the flowers were purple, and there was lots of green, I'm posting in this Monday's challenge instead. The only things I actually planted are the snowdrops and the lone grape hyacinth in the upper left corner of the long horizontal picture. The rest are volunteers, but I like them - even the dandelions.

Hope everybody enjoys the National Scapbooking Day festivities. I'll miss them this year; DH and I leave tomorrow for a three week river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. We may or may not have internet connectivity, and I may or may not be able to steal time on DH's iPad, but I think we'll be fairly busy taking photos. See you in May!

Jo, have a fabulous time on your cruise! It sounds wonderful. I'll look forward to seeing the photos and reading your journaling when you return. Enjoy every moment!

I got a kick out of your title. It sounds like my gardens, back when I had them. :) Lovely photos anyway and the purple background looks wonderful with them. I also like the soft background behind the purple.

What a great page, Jo - amazing how pretty it turned out even with "weeds". Your photos are so lush and colorful and I really like your background and use of the challenge colors, you did a wonderful job on this.
We'll miss you here but your trip/cruise sounds great - have a wonderfully safe time and can't wait to see pics.
