Steven attended Japanese kindergarten from 1994 to 1995. It was a real education for us all! When he started, Steven knew no Japanese and our Japanese was very limited, but it all worked out in the end. When he graduated, the school took a special class photo with each student wearing a white flower. The photo of the principal handing out the diploma was staged ahead of time so each student would have a good picture to put into a scrapbook.

Whenever I look at the group shot of all those five- and six-year-olds, I am amazed at how well the kids lined up, either standing or sitting, with every head in place, all feet together and hands in laps.

This is so interesting and how cool to say you attended Japanese Kindergarten, that's a conversation starter for sure! I so enjoyed reading your journaling and notes, Sue and your photos are wonderful. I really like how beautifully you put together your layout and used this collection and tilted your page for interest. Awesome work and thanks for joining in and posting in the Tuesday NL Challenge.

I thought I'd already commented on your wonderful layout, Sue, but I guess I didn't. I love the page! I especially like the angled papers and how you used Asian-inspired papers and embellishments. Those are wonderful photos, too! What a neat idea to stage the moment with the diploma.
