Thursday Challenge 6/11/15 PL "Proud Of Me"

For my layout I used a triangle (or "step") shape with my Pocket life cards.

The layout is not at all what I want it to be and I'd like to be working on it more, but my laptop is really not well and the screen keeps blacking out so I had to just let it be finished.

That dark shape is me silhouetted on the grass as I was walking one morning.

Journaling reads:

"As part of car accident rehab, my Physical Therapist wanted me walking, believing it particularly helpful post concussion. But between injuries and frigid temps it was a good two months before I was able to try. "Just walk down and back the little street" she suggested. And, I did, struggling most of the way. I tried continuing but it was difficult and sometimes discouraging. Then my sister sent me a Fitbit Zip for my birthday and it became an instant hit in tracking steps. Lori and I have fun comparing each week's steps and it's become a challenge to strive to walk more. So much so, I didn't even notice how much my walking had improved. With other injuries still causing issues and feeling like forever, walking has suddenly become a much needed something I can be proud of. Yay, me. :)"

Lori's my Physical Therapist - her email reads:

"The daily averages are great! You started at 1000 steps in March/April. It's only 3 months later and you're up to an average of over 7000 steps.

The goal is 10,000 a day and you have hit that mark more often. I saw on that screen shot that one day you did 13,000!

That's awesome. Keep up the good work."

For this layout I used:

ABR Pocket Life A New Me

ABR A New Me Collection

BMU SS Paper Templates: Background Blenders 6

Fabulous, Marilyn, that you keep on "keeping on" as they say. It's quite a mental struggle when the body gives us challenges. I love how you're embracing your progress though and the fact that your FitBit is inspiring you....I ♥ mine too. Great AJ page and titling. Pocket cards are arranged nicely.

Wow, I missed this earlier :-( I am so loving the way you used the cards to document all the 'pieces' of the story - the struggles, the highs, the 'report'... what a great idea! The arrangement looks great too of course lol. I really do love the pieces of the story laid out like this... the background is wonderful, the extra blending and the silhouette of you - I just love it. AND YOU JOURNALLED!!!!!
