journaling:

What a week.

Sunday found Sarah doing what she’s done all her life - watching mom and dad lead the music for worship. We were subbing for our director, so Dave played, I sang a solo, and I also got to direct the choir. And Sarah? Sarah took pictures.

That afternoon the three of us went to Bikini Beach Bar to hear our friend Amy (from choir!) and her husband Brian perform. It was blistering hot, so we didn’t stay too long, but it was a blast! For dinner we all went to Famous Dave’s for barbecue. My favorite, and now Sarah’s, too. On Monday we went to Waffle House for lunch, there aren’t any close to Sarah in Miami.

Thursday started out great - I went shopping in Murfreesboro and took my time. Dave took me to the grocery store later, and my body rebelled. My left side stopped cooperating so off we went to the E.R. After a CT scan, echocardiagram, and two MRIs it was determined I had suffered a small stroke. Thankfully there was no lasting damage. I stayed overnight and will see my doctors in a week.

Dusty missed his mom.

Oh my goodness, Becky! I was enjoying reading about your week and it was going so nicely when BAM! Oh my - I'm sure it felt that way to you too, but gosh I am so glad you are ok, but it must have been scary, too. Take good care, thinking of you. xo

What a week of highs and lows! How awesome to have Sarah home for a visit. Glad to hear there was no damage from your medical episode.

Wow Becky - you put that not so little detail at the end like it was an everyday misc. thingy. How scary! Do hope everything has continued to go well. So thankful there was not any lasting damage. You do a nice job of handling both the joyful and the more stressful parts of life in your layouts.
