Touring Mid Hudson Valley -- Weekend 8-15-15 Challenge

This page is about some of the car trips that I took with my friend Ricky. The map covers the Mid Hudson Valley - Dutchess County area of New York. The photos are of FDR's Home in Hyde Park, Eleanor Roosevelt's Home Val-Kill, and Wilderstein the home of the Suckley (pronounced Sook-lee) family. Margaret, generally called Daisy, was the last of the Suckley's to live in the family home until 1991 at the age of 99 when she passed away. She was a sixth cousin and confidante to Franklin Roosevelt. She was also one of four women who were with FDR when he passed away in 1945 at Warm Springs, GA from a cerebral hemorrhage.
