August 2015 ATC: "Dove Chocolate Sayings"

I realized last night that today was the last day of August and since Lei's husband had graciously eaten a piece of chocolate for me, I didn't want his effort to go to waste. :D My saying was "Hold hands firmly, hearts gently" -- as Lei said, interesting since I still have my two injured fingers wrapped together. I had lots of thoughts about what to do with the saying, but kept coming back to how my sister and I always talked about how comforting our Mom's hands were - she used to laugh at us, but we both separately talked about how they felt. And since my Mom also loved hearts, I went looking for a photo of her hands and applied a PSE pencil filter to them and used a heart mask on the background.

I'm still not comfortable in the new PSE program and don't have brushes and extras installed and things kept disappearing. (including the "undo" panel -- thank goodness for command-Z). I'm not entirely happy with this ATC, but at least I got one done. (PS and now that it's posted, it's a lot darker and grayer than in PSE, don't know what that's about.)

For this ATC I used:

SNU Watercolor Masks - Heart

EBA SS Paper ATC Edgers

EBA ATC Backgrounds

and my own photo

your journaling explains it all and what an endearing memory of your mom and that you got a pic of her hands is wonderful. I like your thoughts and your husband eating chocolate!

Oh, wow, Marilyn ... this is beautiful. I Love the sketch of your mother's hands ... and your story of why this saying fit her - what a treasured memory you two sisters have of her!! And Tom was MORE THAN HAPPY to eat chocolate for you!! :)
