Journaling Reads:
It is the height of summer for the birds and blooms. In the garden the phlox never looked better.
I tried for years to get this plant going and it always got some sort of powdery mildew.
So I gave up. Well since I have not been paying too much attention to those left they have
been doing better than ever. We visited Anne and Rob at Frost Byte Farm. I so love their
restored prairie and their birds. I saw two “lifer” birds there - a Lark Sparrow and a
Scarlet Tanager. Back home the Blue Birds and Face Book kept my attention. I loved the pictures
Dan and Christina posted on the road to Alabama for a Reed family reunion. Looks like so much
fun.
