As I read the tasks for this project, I remembered these photos, which I hadn't scrapped. I'm posting them here, even though I don't intend to keep up with the tasks, because this seems to be the best fit. I was well traveled at about 11 months old - born in Los Angeles; moved to El Centro at about 3 months; moved to grandparents' house in Joliet, Illinois at about 6 months; visited great aunt in Ottumwa, Iowa shortly before this visit to Ohio. When Daddy returned from the war I was about 2 and a half, and we moved again to live with Grandma for a while, until our own house was built on the outskirts of Mansfield; I was three and a half then, I think. Mother's notes in my baby book are NOT all inclusive; dates are missing. But fortunately, I thought to check there while making this page, and found a date for these pictures. Thanks for the reminder to scrap them. Supplies are in EXIF

Journaling reads:

In my baby book, Mother noted that on July 9, 1944, she, Daddy & I went to visit Grandma Hartmann in Mansfield, Ohio. She & I had been living with Papa in Joliet because Daddy was still in training before being deployed to the Pacific. But he had a 14 day leave! I don’t know if we drove or took the train. While we were there, Aunt Maxine & Uncle Ed visited, and took me for a ride in my stroller.

I agree that this month's forum game is a great incentive to scrap those photos from the past and give them some coherent organization.

These photos are great! I enjoyed reading your interesting journaling, especially about your travelling so much as a young baby/toddler. That can't have been easy for your Mom! :) I love the "family" ribbon.

It must have been so difficult for your mother with your father away in the service. I can't imagine how hard...But I love your photos and you definitely were a well traveled baby!
