Wow can you believe it I am scrapping October in October ... think that means I'm caught up :)

For this layout I used

EBA SS Album mini - Life Keeping for the page template

KSC Rough Hewn for the background and mat as well as the flower embellishment

TYO Early fall for the leaf embellishments

BMU SS Paper Back Ground Blenders to blend the area behind the writing.

 

Journaling reads:

We began October with a long weekend exploring the Mississippi River Road in Wisconsin. We made LaCrosse our home base so we could visit Jacqueline on campus. We took day trips as far north as Pepin where we saw the birth place of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and hiked several wild life refuges. The area has some spectacular bluffs overlooking the river and is so beautiful especially this time of year.

Wow, you really are up-to-date, Pat, that must feel good! Your photos are gorgeous and the warm browns you used in your background really show them off even moreso. I really like how you put your page together - it feels like I'm looking into a window of your week.
