Sliding Down At The Park- Art Lift Challenge 1/11

This one got away from me a little bit, so I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. My pictures suck, they are too dark. My old camera was crappy. I really need to learn how fix photos a little bit better. Anyway, thank you for the challenge. It was definitely a stretch!

Hi Jenny,

I like your LO. Even though the pics are dark, you can still see the faces of your children. One thing I have learned, when the light behind the subject is much brighter than the light in front of the subject, the camera will create an exposure based on the bright readings and underexpose the subject. Just use your flash to put some light on the kids faces, even in bright daylight and then the exposure will be more balanced.

Next time, take pictures with and without and then you can pick the best.

Meanwhile don't beat yourself up. The LO is fun.

Yeah, the main problem with my old camera (which thankfully has hit the road) is that it had a serious flash problem. It either flashed too bright, completely washing out the subject, or it would flash too dark giving no help to the subject at all. It only flashed properly about 25 percent of the time.
