journaling:
It’s here! It’s finally Christmas week!
My little mini stockings are finally in place on our mantle and I love the way they look.
Sunday morning our kids did a fantastic job on their Christmas play! We had the cutest donkey I’ve ever seen, too. On Wednesday Santa came back to visit the clients at our weekly Food Pantry.
I made tons of cookies to “gift” away and even made a batch of doggie cookies!
That night massive storms ripped across the midwest and the south. Our daughter experienced tornado sirens for the first time, and Dusty and I took shelter in the bathroom. Dave and mom slept through it all.
Our candlelight service on Christmas Eve was beautiful, and Santa was very good to all of us the next morning. Mom got a video game, a new robe, and a camera. Dave got some new winter accessories (even though
it was 73F on Christmas!), and I got sparklies! Dave gave me a pair of stunning topaz and diamond earrings. Even Dusty got his own present to open. For dinner I cooked my very first standing rib roast. It was delicious!
The day after Christmas our grandkids arrived from Georgia. More presents, they loved the Mickey Mouse waffle maker that we gave them. We were thankful that it was warm enough to shoo them outside for a while.
