Conservatory -- Slow Scrap

One of my favorite buildings and the most beautiful is The Conservatory at the New York Botanical Garden.

The different views of The Conservatory at the Botanical Garden are: Top View I took from a pamphlet that the Garden sent to me. It shows The Conservatory at night from the back. You can see the two pools where the Lotus Blossoms and Lily Pads are shown off every summer. It doesn't seem to be this large when you are walking around inside The Conservatory, but it is quite huge. It was built in the late 1890's and is a New York Landmark. Bottom left is a photo that I took at the Annual Train Show and the bottom right is one that I took of The Conservatory in the Spring with the Cherry Blossom trees in bloom.

Oh, I really need to visit this interesting place. Your photos are lovely Carol and I enjoyed reading your notes and journaling. Great layout.

I agree with Jane; it looks very much like one in Kew Gardens -- and both are magnificent! I like seeing the blossoming trees outside it, and the clever model, too. Pretty background. I like all the flowers.

This conservatory reminds me of the one in Kew Gardens in London :) lovely photos and the pink colours make them 'pop' :)

Inspiration for the park and the conservatory stemmed from Nathaniel Lord Britton and his wife Elizabeth. The couple had visited the Royal Botanic Garden at Kew on their honeymoon and thought a similar park and conservatory should be built for New York City

Beautiful, Carol! The conservatory really is a gorgeous building. Love the different angles and lighting. The strips of paper look great, as does the little bird.
