NL Challenge - large prints

I used a couple of the techniques April mentioned in her tutorial: a large mat (actually I used two here) and I anchored the photo, this time with ribbons. I think the wide frame helped, too. Thanks for a fun challenge! It gave me the courage to try using a large pattern as a background.

SNU Autumn Redux;

CRO/SNU Memorabilia - doily;

CRO What A Lovely Day - ribbon;

ABR Nano: Chic Instincts - ribbon;

ABR Jif Plus: Wonderful You - frame;

MPE Week 52 - staple.

ABR Wonderful You - mat;

wonderful photo and goes so well with what you used and I like the doily--this so reminds me of me with my boys in '79

Wow, this really looks awesome, Diane and you did a wonderful job with the patterned paper! Who would think large print could look so good but it really does! I love that sweet photo & remember those ages so well, it's wonderful to see you all together and brings back lovely memories. I really like how you used the mat and ribbons and the colors you chose are perfect for that pic. Thanks for joining in the NL Challenge.

Love how the bold pattern works here, great colors for the "vintage" photo also. The doily matting sets it all of beautifully. I think our boys are very close in age and love your mom's bell bottoms!

Great job, Diane! Love the pretty colors, they complement your photo nicely! I like how the large pattern acts as a frame for your mat and photo.

I love that the photo is still central to the layout, which is difficult with large prints. You've managed it superbly! The colours are perfect with your photo.
