I took these photos of an old barn alongside the road on one of our drives. My friend Ricky and I were driving to Ellenville and there wasn't much traffic so we were able to go slow enough so that I could get a couple of nice shots of the old barn/building. I love old buildings and this one was wonderful.

I chose:

Background -- Layout Template, Patterned Paper, Solid Paper

Tools -- Action-I used a mirror reflection on the large photo, Styles were used on the Strips, Circles and Squares of the Template

Embellishments -- Brushwork, Border, Cluster, and I added a butterfly and some barn stars

Title -- I used a word art and a style

Supplies Used:

SS Digital Layout Album Template Album Series 12 Mini #6

EMA Barnwood Collection -- Papers-Barnwood, Burlap, Yellow Plaid, Barn Stars, Barbed Wire Borders

BMU SS Actions -- Mirror Reflection Bottom (it came out a lighter than I expected)

JRA Brushes Memory Book5, recolored using ASO SSStyles Chiseled Metals

GWH Through His Eyes -- Cluster

GWH Beauty In Bloom -- Butterfly

ABR Capturing Memories Super Mini -- Word Art recolored using EHI SSStools Creative Spirit

Other Styles I used are: BMU SSStyles Rustic, DEB SSTools Styles Old Metal

Great layout, Carol. Love your photos ( I love old barns and we have lots of them around here - I should probably get out there and get some pics of them, lol). I love how your arranged the photos on your page. Wonderful layering and background. Thanks for taking part in the challenge!

Great photos of that old barn. I love that you included wooden textures in your background, too. It looks like your butterfly is flying across the moon. Beautiful effect!

Oh, I miss taking photos of the old barns (not too many in Ariz). Your photos are great! Doesn't it make you wonder what it's history is? I like the rustic elements you selected to compliments your photos.
