Florida granny Posted May 24, 2016 Great photos, but it's the journaling that stars here. It's amazing what people to do to survive and live, and how inventive we can be when we must. I have heard lots of sad stories from that time, but I never heard of the kerosene huts. Maybe they were just in Australia? I like the blending on you largest photo and the soft colors of the page that suit the photos so well. Quote Link to comment

LauraYB Posted May 24, 2016 Super page documenting Australian and Great Depression history--I'd not heard of these huts before. Just amazing how these people survived the time period followed by wars. Excellent page. Quote Link to comment
DixieLee Posted May 24, 2016 Thanks for letting us read this and learn because we need to think what we would do--there is no guarantee that it won't happen again. I never thought about it affecting Australia. Quote Link to comment

ladyscrapalot Posted May 26, 2016 I love how you blended your large photo and curled the corner, nice touch. Your journaling/history telling adds so much to your photos. Fabulous job! Quote Link to comment
