May ATC Flowers: Agapanthus

 Share

I took this photo last week of one of my favorite flowers and wanted to include it in the swap. Agapanthus is sometimes known as "Lily of the Nile", though it isn't a lily. Up north it is a summer flower but here in Florida it is a perennial. I added a palette knife and a couple of other filters to give it a painterly look.

Now, isn't this pretty! I was studying your photo thinking what a lovely treatment and how it looks like a painting and just as I was wondering how you did it I see you told us, thank you! I really like your background and stitching and your title and the butterfly are beautiful additions to this ATC.

Lovely flower photo, Diane. Love the filters, and I love purple and green together. I like the white additions of the stitches, butterfly and text.
