Project Life, week18-2016
journaling:
Our luncheon was quite a success! The crowd packed the fellowship hall, the Gyros were fabulous, and our dessert auction brought in more than enough
to pay the band for our concert. We had a blast, and all the servers wore gold laurel wreaths on their heads.
Later in the week a dear, long time friend from Miami was passing through Nashville with her cousin, so we drove
up and met them for dinner. Claim Jumper was just the right place to go. There was food for every taste, and the drinks were
yummy, too. Margaret is our daughter’s God Mother and used to sing alto in our Renaissance quartet when we did
Renfair many years ago.
I’m way beyond wanting flowers or such for Mother’s Day, but when Dave asked I requested a new stir fry skillet!
Mine was tossed when we left Miami, and I’ve been doing a lot of veggies on my diet. I’ve also discovered how
wonderful (and healthy!) coconut oil is.
I’ve almost finished my cross stitch project. Just one more part of the phrase left to do. Now that we’ve replaced our
broken patio table, we picked up a new umbrella to go with it. The afternoon sun is brutal, and our back patio faces west.
Of course, Dusty had to make sure we were doing it right.
I was surprised to find that my Easter Lilies from last year, 2015, are covered in buds! It looks like there is going to be a ton of them!
