journaling:

Mother’s Day weekend was just gorgeous! The temps soared up into the 80’s and we think spring is really

here. Dave’s mom went to church with us, we were so glad to get her out and about for a bit. Dave’s sister

Sharon sent her a stunning white orchid. She used to grow them back in Miami and she is thrilled with this one!

I finally got to wear my Easter outfit. It was so cold that Sunday that I would have frozen in something this sheer!

We went to O’Charley’s for brunch after church, but there wasn’t one open parking space to be found. We tried a

few other places as well, but with the same results. We went home and had a light lunch, relaxed for a while, and

then went back to Hickory Falls for a very nice dinner.

Our granddaughter Athena’s T-Ball season is over and she got a trophy! She’s growing so fast and with her hair pulled up like this

she looks even older! She will be six in November.

My first blackberries are sprouting, I hope they stay on the bush long enough to get ripe. I’m babying them, that’s for sure.

I finished my Trek sampler! It just needs to be pressed and framed. It’s a snippet of conversation from a “Next Generation” episode:

“Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra” “Shaka when the wells fell.” “Temba, his arms wide.” It was a fascinating episode, and I’m

a die hard Trekkie, so this makes me smile!

On Facebook I have an app called “On This Day.” Every morning it shows me some posts I have made in years past,

and this one just left me speechless when it originally was posted four years ago. Our daughter shared this

photo of Dave and I playing a duet for a women’s meeting back in Miami. The photo isn't that great, but what she said?

Priceless.

“I Want A Love Like What My Mom && Dad Have.. <3”

She was 15 years old at the time. Oh my heart. *sigh*

Awwwww.... Your ending made me tear, that's beautiful and especially coming from a 15 year old! I was amazed seeing Athena as I remember when she was born and a little one, wow how time flies. Great photos and journaling and your outfit is really pretty!

Love your Trek sampler. I gave myself a Star Trek cross stitch book for Christmas, I think this might be in it. That is at the top of my favourite episodes as well! Priceless indeed, from your then 15 year old! Thanks for showing off the Week 52 calendar ribbons! I love all the ways you change them up.
