Trees 1

This is what you fear most when you live in a forested area...wildfire. This one was very close to home. That's a photo from our neighbor's deck. Now, three years later, new growth is appearing, I've enjoyed all the tiny little wild flowers that have popped up. And we get a glimpse of the mountains on our daily walks. I added a couple of twigs and a pine cone branch for the wood requirement.

Scary is the right word. We quite often have to watch mountain fires here in Cape Town. Love the template.

It is incredible the regrowth that comes from such destruction. I have seen this in Adelaide in Australia. Quite amazing. Love the title!

Sobering for sure but it's always wonderful to see new growth stubbornly growing back. I like your background and blending and how the pattern resembles flames.

Great background and title work to fit your theme! So sad these fires happen but glad you are enjoying the new growth.

I remember when that happened, Ann. So scary! The photos certainly tell the story and the one taken from the porch is especially menacing. You've made a lovely page from it all, however, and I especially like the pattern of one of the bg papers whose angles remind me of flames.

I remember! Must have been terrifying...my sister was evacuated w/ Waldo Canyon Fires in Colo. So glad everything turned out for you (and her). The hope evoked from the rebirth of the local vegetation, albeit quite slow, must be a welcome change. I love your fabulous blending especially the yellow which resembles flames.

Wow That is an amazing story. Very sad/good tree LO. Thanks for sharing that with us. Wonderful colors that really evoke the emotion of the event.
