Aug 23 NL Challenge Clean and Simple - Grand Canyon

This was truly a challenge for me. Minimal embellishments were easy as my layouts are usually all about the photos, but I’m rarely clean and simple since I use lots of soft blending in my pages. I even had to remake the mask on the right as it originally blended into the background. :D

Journaling reads:

“A visit to the Grand Canyon has always been high on my bucket list. I flew to Australia via San Francisco, but on the way home plane issues caused an unplanned night in Sydney and return flights through Los Angeles . Looking out the plane window I saw this wondrous sight and wondered if it could be the Grand Canyon. Once home, internet research confirmed that it most certainly was! So, while I’m not checking it

off my list, in some ways I’ve seen the Grand Canyon.”

For this layout I used:

This is wonderful! It keeps the focus right on your amazing photos (how did you do this through the window of the plane and come out so clear?) I hope you get to visit there someday. Thanks for joining the challenge!

Ive never thought to look at the Grand Canyon from the air!! This is really awesome Marilyn! Amazing how views from the air can make things look kinda smaller. The Gran Canyon in my head is huge!!! Never been there but photos from the ground make it like WOW. Really like this LO and its got a real punch in its clean and simple!

I had to look because I have never seen this view from the plane before, lucky you that you snapped it. Someday I hope I can go. Most of my family has been. Zack got to fly a rescue helicopter up and down it (looking for a little boy-not a good turn out). Anyway, the crew got to see it up close.

Wow, these photos are really cool! Your journaling is wonderful, clearly explaining what was happening when you were shooting these pictures. The Grand Canyon looks amazing this way!
