week31-2016
journaling:
Oh my gosh! On Sunday we finally had a visit from our first humming bird! I can’t believe how tiny it is, and I had to be so sneaky to get photos! The feeder is right outside our window in the dining room, and he/she shows up every evening after the sun is behind the fence.
Tuesday evening our church participated in the annual Night Out Against Crime. We had a table and gave out freebies and cold bottled water. It was a scorcher, but thankfully there was a nice breeze.
I had to laugh at the road sign on Weakley Lane. I know there wasn’t room for all the letters, but still ...
Any opportunity for a photo op! The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department had two of their horses there, and I can’t recall the last time I was close enough to a horse to pose for a photo. Probably back in 1986 on a family trip to West Virginia. That’s just all kinds of wrong!
The Chik-Fil-a cow was there and so was the Buffalo Wild Wings Mascot. I’m such a sucker for geeky photos!
There’s our table and the first round of volunteers.
Monday our baby turned 20 and to celebrate, she and Michael moved to Phoenix, Arizona! They were both looking for a new start and it’s a part of the country they’ve never seen. Now we have somewhere else to visit! (Pictures next week!)
Finally found a journal layout I can work with. I started August in a gridded composition book and
I’m loving it! I found stickers to download, and pens, and ... and ... I think I said that last week, too, but
did I mention STICKERS?!
