I took these pictures on a recent trip to Patterson, NJ to see the Great Falls. It was a beautiful day and I even managed to catch a rainbow. Here is some background information on the falls:

The Great Falls of the Passaic River is a prominent waterfall, 77 feet high, on the Passaic River in the city of Paterson in Passaic County, New Jersey. The falls and surrounding area are protected as part of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, administered by the National Park Service. Congress authorized its establishment in 2009.One of the United States' largest waterfalls, it played a significant role in the early industrial development of New Jersey starting in the earliest days of the nation. It is part of the Great Falls of Paterson-Garret Mountain National Natural Landmark. It has also been designated as a National Historic Landmark District since 1976. The Great Falls' raceway and power systems were designated an Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1977.

This is so cool Carol and your photos are really awesome! I really like your pretty background and the colors you used and the dots anchoring the papers and stitching really add a lovely look to your layout. This isn't too far from me in NJ and I've always wanted to see it - now I do more but almost feel I have! Good to see you back here, too.

Great photos, Carol; you captured the falls from so many perspectives that it's almost as if we were there, walking around the various view points. I love the layered background, borders & stitching you used, too.
