Journaling:

Fall is finally here! The leaves are beautiful everywhere we go. The nights are chilly, but the days are still up into the 70’s. Perfect, as far as I’m concerned.

On Sunday Dave was the worship leader and also took the time to speak about the 2017 budget so we can kick off the annual Pledge Campaign.

Poor Dusty was just a little concerned. I went down the hill behind the deck (where he doesn’t like to go) and he had to make sure I was okay.

In addition to four chickens, our next-door neighbors have a bunny rabbit. We love to spy over the fence and watch them all out in the yard. Yes, we’re nosy neighbors.

I went to Goodwill to look for a small book shelf, but instead found the bread machine we had back in the late ‘80s! I didn’t buy it, but slept on it and then went back for it the next day. Ours never made the move from Florida, and it made the BEST bread! I checked it out and all the parts were there including the recipe booklet. It turned on just fine and the cashier said that I had 14 days to return it if anything was wrong. It’s perfect and it cost me a whopping $12.99! S C O R E!

Saturday our Walk to Emmaus/Via de Cristo ladies met at Panera Bread for breakfast, fellowship, and

prayer time. Santa Claus showed up to pick up his wife Marie, who is in our group. Jerry sings in our choir and is a professional Santa. He was on his way to appear at a scout gathering so was in full costume. He took the time to visit with every child there and I just love to see him spread joy wherever he goes!

Dave’s brother Mark arrived Friday night along with Sophie. Sophie is a 160 pound, 6 year old Rottweiler. She and Dusty get along very well, but he was not at all amused when she took over his end of the sofa.

That was a score with the bread maker!!! May it continue to make awesome bread for many more years to come! :-) Oh I don't think I would be arguing with Sophie, Dusty may just have to sit this one out somewhere else until Sophie goes home!!! Lovely work as usual Becster.
