Weekend Challenge June 17, 2017 "Wedding Poem" Graduation Figure

I was looking at this ceramic figurine my Aunt Theresa made for me long ago and for some reason the Bridal Poem “Something old, something new…” popped into my mind and thus this challenge was born. :)
So here goes:
Something old - Graduation figurine
Something new - New collection used
Something borrowed - I can say I scrapped in two collections but “borrowed” the edgers from another.  Anyone have a better interpretation?! :D
Something blue - the flowers and accents (my class colors)
and a sixpence in her shoe — the gold “coin” flowers

Journaling reads:
"Aunt Theresa made and painted this sweet figurine for me in her ceramics class when I graduated High School.  The doll has my eye, hair and skin color and wore the colors that I did on my graduation day.  Since my class color was blue she used that for accents.  Aunt T had my name, date and school painted in gold on the book base and even cut apart her invitation to include the school’s insignia.  I was SO thrilled when I opened it and it’s always held a special place in my heart, as did Aunt Theresa.
I think of her each time I see it.
"

For this layout I used:
ABR Warm Wishes Collection Mini
DRB Something Wonderful Collection Mini
AFT Antique Edges Paper Biggie

I love the figurine. What a unique challenge. I have to think about that 'borrowed' part. Maybe use a cluster from another layout, or jig page>

What a lovely and special gift... and a wonderful way to remember your dear Aunt Theresa. I love your interpretation of the challenge, especially the "borrowed". :D I might steal that idea, too.

Beautiful page! Great extraction, and I love the little heart you added, too.
