Journaling:  "Laura is 4 years old here.  She was having a little trouble in pre-school, learning how to use scissors on her own, so we practiced with her every night for a while.  In these photos, she had cut this picture from a magazine all by herself.  We were so proud of her!"  October, 2013

I used two patterned papers with a blending mode, but then had to use a light brush behind the journaling and quote to make them stand out more.

Sweet photos and page, I love the look of accomplishment and excitement on Laura's face.  Your background is so pretty and I really like the scissor outline you used.

What a great thing to do. Pretty layout, too, I like the way you lightened the paper, not just behind the text, but in a swath along the side. Must remember that.
