Bruges

Being a tourist in my old haunts from way back is always a bit odd but it really opens up my eyes and see 'home' from your point of view, I get the best of both worlds.

Journaling reads:
Bruges, the capital of West Flanders in northwest Belgium, is distinguished by its canals, cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Its port, Zeebrugge, is an important center for fishing and European trade. In the city center’s Burg square, the 14th-century Stadhuis (City Hall) has an ornate carved ceiling. Nearby, Markt square features a 13th-century belfry with a 47-bell carillon and 83m tower with panoramic views.
My home town of Oostende is a 30 minute drive to Bruges. I used to spend most weekends shopping and as I got older  I would hop on the train and spend a few happy hours here with friends. I took my own children to Bruges, we spend time walking through the town. I have family who live a 20 minute walk from this photo. It still hasn’t changed over many a year. The only thing that changes is the price of a bag of chips and mayo , the best in the world. Love  this place.

Your journaling is so interesting and heartfelt, Marie and I liked learning about this place that is so special to you.  Your photos are lovely and I really like your journaling in white and your pretty and colorful title.

I really like the white background along the right side, with the multiple photos overlapped.  Crisp, clean LO!

I absolutely adored Bruges when I went 2 years ago. We sat in the square and had lunch under those orange umbrellas. The waiter told us we hadn't been to Bruges unless we'd drunk beer from a glass that was supported on a wooden stand (can't remember what it was called). The beer was delicious but took a short-cut straight to my head. Love your LO - thank you for reminding me of my visit!

I just loves Bruges but it was years ago when I was there. I'm glad you can still buy the chips and mayo.....You have never tasted decent fries until you have bought them in Belgium :)  Great photos and placement in this lovely double page

Kwak. Hmmm.... OK... you have made me officially thirsty.

I love your photos of such a fascinating place. The whole page turned out great, including the way you carried the orange into your title.
