I didn't make my "M" larger than the rest of the alpha... hope that works OK for the challenge.  M for Mikelle, although my LO is about Karlie!

Journaling:  "One day during our stay at the Grand Canyon, we spent a rather boring afternoon indoors recovering from a hike.  Karlie eventually begged to go outside, although it was about to rain, thunderclouds in the distance.  She said, "I don't care if I get muddy, it's more fun that way!" Wow, Mikelle - Karlie is growing up right before our eyes, she doesn't look like the little girl of your earlier photos!  Beautiful photo and I love the expression on her face.  Your background is wonderfully blended and goes so well with your theme and title.  I enjoyed reading your journaling and like how you used a light color that's easily readable but doesn't take away from the rest of your page.   Your "M" works perfectly and I really like the colors you used, too!   Thanks for joining the challenge.

I love the rustic feel of your page, goes really well with the theme. I also love the photo of Karlie, her expression the composition! Just a wonderful layout!
