Prom 2005

Prom 2005

The journaling talks about what a pain it was to make this lovely dress. My degree is in theater costume design, so it shouldn't have been that much of a stretch, but the lace did... so I had to take it apart and re-do it. I didn't cry, but I said "I hate this dress" while making it about as much as Cathrine said she loved it. The Prom was on her 17th birthday, and she had a wonderful time at her biggest birthday bash ever.
Thanks for looking.

I used the following products:
(And IF anyone wants to tell me how to do those cool links I'd be happy to do them...)

DEB_Julie_Emb_photocorners 1-4
SMD_WrinkledBlue (Base Paper- Couldn't figure out know where I got it)
Fonts: LD Pookie, LD Antique, LD Oz from ScrapNFonts

Such pretty blues you have used! I like the use of a simple flower as your embellishment, it is not overpowering! I like the photo strip on the bottom. TFS
Wow...she is beautiful!! And what a great idea, to journal about the pain it was making the dress...heehee...Awesome LO!
Hey... judging by that title, are you Italian (like me)? :) The layout is beautiful, your DD is lovely, and you did a great job on this challenge. I'm so impressed with your sewing abilities! (And a little jealous, too...)
Sorry, Bella Notte was the theme of the Prom. I have ancestors that came on the Mayflower & the rest were here by 1800. (English, Irish, Scottish & some Cherokee Indian)
Your daughter looks cinderella going to the ball Great layout and I love the fact that you made the dress
You did an awesome job on the dress and this layout Rocks!
Your dd is lovely! What a beautiful elegant LO! Love the soft blue background, photo corners and big white flower. Great job with the journaling and on the embellishment challenge!
Beautiful LO and dress!! Love the way you have the pics across the bottom and the close up to show off the all important hair do!
I have an 18 year old so I am feeling this LO with you! I haven't actually made a prom dress but always end up having to make alterations and it is nerve wrecking!! I hate the dress the whole time too! LOL!
