Anniversary 17 Monday Challenge Selfie Fright!

Ok, here goes, I hope this doesn't scare anyone.  I had foot surgery on the 10th which brought awful pain until drugs knocked me out a day later.   At one point I tried to sit in the living room with my iPad and saw reflected on the screen my hair sticking up all over and took a pic from the nose up!  Can't believe now I was conscious enough to do it, it's a bit frightening.  Luckily now things are looking up whew, but looking at this pic makes me both shiver and laugh to remember that moment.....
PS my cousin took the surgery photo to send to my sister with the message "The foot's still there!".   I was in no shape then to do it and the other pics were taken the two subsquent days when I came-to a bit more.
For this layout I used:
SNU SS DLT Art Mix Bonus
BMU General Hospital Collection Biggie
LLO So Emotional Collection Biggie
SNU SS Styles: Shadow Me
and my own photos

Ouch I do feel for you! How brave you were to take a pic - I don't think I would have even looked in the mirror at that point in the recovery. What a star you are to share it with us all. A good LO to look back on to remember how far you have come.

Thanks Hilary!  To be honest, if it weren't for the drugs, I don't know if I would've taken a pic and somehow I think I saw myself in the iPad screen, it's a bit fuzzy right now!   The photo in the hospital my cousin took and emailed to my sister with the caption, "The foot's still there!"   Hmmmm.. I should have included that on the page.

Ow, that foot does look sore. Cute hair though. :D I do like the background you chose - looks like a sheet and the medical symbols are the perfect accent.

Oh Marilyn so sorry to hear you are going through so much with your foot again. Hopefully it is on the mend now. I love that photo of you. All those emojis are so cute.

Maybe you'll start a new hair trend, Marilyn! :D For sure the "ouch" part is no fun, but I do love your emojis.. You are a good sport making this page -- and it turned out great!

What a great job you did with this.  I love the emojis you used especially the one right on your glasses. This is perfect for documenting life both the good and the bad.  Nicely done!  And I'm glad you are on the road to recovery.

Oh Marilyn this is just priceless!!?I love it!! You are so awesomely down to earth and to do this page really is what scrapping is all about. I so wish I could come help look after you (thats the nurse in me☺️) I loved seeing the medical emblems. I used to wear those on my lapels when I was a medic in the airforce. Bought back some memories for me seeing those!! Wonderful page?

(I won't tell you how long it was after my back surgery before I washed my hair....I couldn't bend OR get my incision wet!)
