Not my dog
My MIL's dog comes over when she's at work. He stays here until she gets home, then he runs home to meet her. Clearly, he'd rather be with her, but he comes here so as not to be alone.
Journaling says: "I keep telling you you donít live here. You arenít my dog. But you canít bear to be without your owner while sheís at work. And you come here to pass the time and have some company. We know we are second best, but weíll let you come over anyways."
