Journaling:
On Sunday, our oldest turned 37! It’s just so hard to believe when it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital up in Illinois. We are so proud of the man he has become.

My generation lost another icon this week. Rick Shaw was the host of the evening show on WQAM in Miami for many years. He brought the Beatles to Miami, he hosted his own television show in 1966-1968, and he hosted the concert at Hialeah Race Track where I saw Sonny and Cher perform. He had a huge influence on my musical life and he will be missed.

On Wednesday we had our pictures taken for the new church directory. Before that though, I went back to the doctor and begged for meds. She was surprised that I was still sick when she had assured me I’d be over it by now. See me rolling my eyes? My body has never cooperated that easily. Augmentin for the win!

Friday morning we made our way through the fog to get to the airport in Nashville. We’re off to Chicago for a mini-reunion and the memorial service for my college voice professor.

Our hotel was just off Michigan Avenue, right in the heart of the city! We had dinner at Pizzeria Due and then walked back.

The sidewalks were lined with pumpkins and fall flowers.

Great LO, Becky. It appeals to my linear mind. :) I like that you included things other than just the photos that you took.

I so enjoy your storytelling type journaling. How exciting to be in Chicago and I've never seen Michigan avenue in the Fall!
