Country Life

Sometimes life on the farm seems like a continual struggle.  Things rarely go right the first time, you're usually tired, sore or slightly injured.  It's easy to just put blinders on and keep plodding forward.  Then there are those moments.  When the sun hits the fields just right, when the wind creates ripples of sound across the ripening wheat or when the heat and stillness makes time just stop.  That's when I need to just pause and appreciate it all.

Oh, Angela your LO journaling is wonderful but I have to say your notes above are like poetry and so beautiful I can imagine the scene.   Your photo is awesome and I really like how you divided the page and the framed closeup, this is lovely.

I'm on a farm Angela and I know exactly what you are saying here, and you are so right in taking the moments to see how beautiful it actually all can be. This is a stunning layout and worth framing!! I hope you got a good harvest from the wheat.?

This is awesome! the wood with the photo blended in, what you said is poetic and made me take a long look at the scene. Really appreciate what you made, just lovely and made me think of my parents and grandparents hard at work on their farms- many decades. Thank you for sharing this!!

Thank you everyone!  Yes, we did pretty good on the wheat last year...it was the dried Orca beans that kicked our behinds!  So much technique to learn and tooling up for any new crop is expensive, so you wind up making due with the machines you have and that complicates things.  But as the years go by we are leaning so much, getting better/fixed up equipment and things are starting to go smoother!  :-)
