Weekend Challenge 12/16/17 Favorite Holiday Movie: Happy Feet

My favorite Holiday movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life”.   For my layout I took my idea from the title of the movie and the thought that when things seem down, sometimes a thoughtful act can make it feel like “It’s a Wonderful Life” anyway.
Journaling reads:
“I’ve been discouraged and overwhelmed with my foot fracture taking forever to heal and other  life issues so my cousin took me to her house for a “change of scenery”.  At one point she said “Let’s go for manicures”, but when she heard my toes hadn’t been painted since I came home from Australia with THAT broken foot she arranged double-duty with my hands and feet being done at the same time!  She made it easy getting there with my crutches and boot, the salon was totally empty and playing soft instrumental Christmas music and when I sat in the big cozy chair I started to relax.  My sore foot was gently massaged, even with hot stones and it felt so good.  I’ve taken to saying “this stupid foot” and not feeling kindly of it, but at one point I called out “My feet are so happy!”.  So was I…  Susan is a dear and so thoughtful and very special to me!...”

For this layout I used:
GWH SS DLO Template: Just Blend It
LLO So Emotional Collection Biggie
EBA Sugar Plum Collection Biggie
SNU SS Styles: Shadow Me
SBA SS Styles: Glitter Glows

Very cool page. I love seeing you sitting there and so happy. You certainly deserve to be pampered after all you have been through. If the hot stones felt so good maybe you should go for hot stone treatments instead of Dr. visits....LOL Great colors for your background too.

Great page! I love your take on the movie and am glad you are able to relax a little and enjoy something in the midst of all that you are going through with your foot/feet. Purple toenails, huh??? Just looking at them should cheer you up! Pretty background to your page, too.

Your page cheers me up too. Good for you!! You deserve happy feet!

As for the movie, I loved it and sent it to a  soldier in Afghanistan, on my list. Everyone called him Happy Feet because he wore colorful socks  when he could. They showed it for their Christmas party.

I love how this turned out! I like the title with the trio of photos. I was just thinking, I haven't had a pedi since I lived in NY....over 5 yrs ago. Yikes!

Oh Marilyn I hear your  discouragement and that awful overwhelmed feeling with your foot. I know it would be a lot better if we could drive and get out of the house but take heart it will be only temporary even if temporary is taking longer than it should :grr:
Love this LO and it looks like its just what the doctor ordered even the purple toenails :) Its amazing how much better one feels when your feet are being pampered :) Hugs to you

Marilyn, love your page. I truly understand your situation...have one of my own over here w/ my knee. I loved your words--what a wonderful act of kindness for her to take you "home" and then to have your mani's and pedi's--I'm sure you felt like royalty. Had a similar experience when my Boston sis took me in October! Those warm rocks work wonders, don't they? I'm so glad you had a fun spa day. Makes you feel like a new woman! :)

What a lovely story! I've never had a pedicure. (But I'm not going to break my foot to get one) :D I like that you were pampered and you look so relaxed.
