Oh yes - this is wonderful, Marie-Christine!  The main photo is glorious, and I love the angle of the large photo.   But what are the amazingly shaggy critters?  One is belled, so I assume they're somewhat domestic, and they appear to be mother & calf.  Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Jo these shaggy critters are called Highland cattle. They are native to Scotland but we have them here in NZ as well. In fact my daughter n laws parents have them. They are amazing looking animals and their babies are super super cute. Their horns get to amazing lengths and can look quite intimidating. People breed them over here for showing most of the time.

okay, my jaw just dropped open at the awesome photo! If I could ever walk into a picture it would be this one. Hey, I would give up looking for Santa's reindeer if I could pet one of these cows! Thanks for sharing this treat!!

Thank you for the information!  I thought they looked as if they belonged in Scotland (although I have no idea WHY I thought that.  Love the cute photo you captured.
