Tuesday Challenge 3/20/18 Flowers: Rachel - Darom Adom

I’ve known Rachel since before she was born, she’s such a sweetie!  She’s now living in Israel and sent me beautiful photos of “Darom Adom”.     I know I’m going to have to scrap more of them, they’re gorgeous.
Journaling reads:
"The "Darom Adom" ("Red South") festival is held in the Negev area during the winter season, when thousands of red Anemone (Calanit) flowers  cover the fields."
"The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come”  Song of Solomon 2:12
For this layout I used:
BMU SS Papers Background Blenders & BG Blenders 5
VJS The Palest Spring Collection
SNU SS Styles: Shadow Me
KVE SS Styles Starburst Pastels
AFT SS Antique Edges
SBA SS Styles Glitter

Rachel is so pretty!! And what a pretty place for a pretty girl to pose! I love the gold trim. (I think I need to add those to my wish list.) I also love the little heart swirl. It reminds me of how a young girl would sign her name, if that makes sense. A lovely page indeed!

Stunning page with those red flowers. How nice for her to learn another culture by living in a different country. Lovely page.

Beautiful. I always have associated the Negev with the desert. This does NOT look like dessert. Rachel and her beautiful black hair are gorgeous with all the red flowers. I like the way you gave the photo full screen and just added a few embs. No need to gild the lily!
