Chasing Dragonflies by Brandy Murry

ScrapSimple Paper Templates:Background Blenders 6 by Brandy Murry

San Diego, while known for its beaches, is also home to a large expanse of desert in the eastern part of the county. Anza- Borrego Desert State Park offers activities for hikers, campers, photographers, and everyday lovers of nature’s beauty. Only 15 miles from the Mexico border, in the southern section of the park, sits one of the largest freestanding wooden trestles in the entire world. The Goat Canyon Trestle was built in 1932 as part of the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway and was in use until 2010.

Oh, I saw this in the NL and loved it and was waiting to see it close up!  I was trying to read the journaling there but it was hard so I’m glad to read it here and it’s so interesting.  So many things I didn’t know about San Diego - desert?  Who knew??!!   And, I was even there once. :)  Your photo and explanation is really cool and I love your photo and effect and how you blended it into your background.   It’s a really beautiful page and I learned a lot!  Thanks for sharing this piece of your hometown in the Tuesday Challenge! :)

This is magnificent! I saw a documentary on this rail road trestle and have been fascinated by it ever since. Wonderful use of blender and whatever you did to the photo-this is a top fav for me.
