Journaling:
What a great week! Sunday morning music was special - Brian Brown and Billy Knight played and sang for us. Billy used to be in the choir and we’re hoping to get him back again. After church we held a soup and sandwich lunch so that Pastor De could tell us all about his recent trip to Israel. It was fascinating!  We got to see our Moo Cows again, that’s always a treat.

On our way into town we saw a sweet old car, with an “older” driver, too. long gray hair. beard, bandana ... what Dave and I refer to as an “old hippie.” When we got closer, I just had to try and snap a photo of his license plate! “Old Goat”! LOL

I bought myself a shovel and planted the Easter Hydrangeas that we were given after the choir program. I hope they make it. Friday morning we helped set up for the church yard sale.  Well, we mostly browsed, I have to admit. We’re hoping to raise a good amount for our missionaries in Thailand. I made two apple cakes for the bake sale.

Friday night we were invited to come hear Billy Knight play at Carpe Cafe, right here in old downtown Smyrna. He and his friend Joe played oldies from the 60’s and 70’s, with a few 50’s thrown in for good measure. We had dinner there, and I loved looking up to see a row of old telephone transformers. I have quite a few of them that my mama collected over the years,

Our 11-year-old grandson Christian is back in the hospital in Florida. He has an infection in the soft tissue of his left big toe that they can’t seem to get rid of and honestly, don’t know how he got it.  It looks like he’ll be on I.V. antibiotics for a while.

Dave bought me a guitar at the yard sale! I’m self-taught, but haven’t tried to play in years. I got my first guitar from the Sears catalog when I was 10. This is a beautiful instrument and belonged to Carol, one of our missionaries. It came complete with a lockable case, a sturdy strap, and a bag of picks. Now I need to get my nails cut way down so I can practice.

You are doing great at keeping up with your weekly pages and I do enjoy reading what you have been doing. The close up photo of the transformers was a nice addition to your page.

So sorry to hear Christian isn’t well, wishing him the best, poor little guy!  I enjoyed your journaling and photos and laughed at the “old goat”!  I really like your cheery background and the colors you used and the special touches you add like the arrow and magnifying glass. :)

You always do a great job chronicling your week. I like that you put the calendar in the corner, too. I sure hope your grandson gets better soon! His toe doesn't sound like fun.
