I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your Ricky, I remember him in some of your pages.   Your photos are lovely and your journaling is so heart felt and written so well.  I really like how you arranged your page and the mono-color you used.   The XOX is a nice touch.  

So sorry to hear of your loss. Ricky was so cute and your new kitty looks just like our Pookie who passed away this past November a few days before my birthday. He was a tabby too.

You created such a lovely memorial and welcome layout for Ricky and Milo. When my sister adopted Pookie from our vet, he also was reaching out to her with his paw. That is what made her adopt him.

Here is a lovely poem that I want to share with you. Get your tissues out:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Hi Cindy, I am so sorry you are currently struggling with the loss of your dear Ricky. I'm an animal person too so I know how much that hurts.  Your layout is a beautiful tribute to him .  I pray that although Milo won't replace Ricky, he helps you heal.  Hugs to you - and such a sweet layout too. I love the muted colors that go along with the feel. 

Cindy, I too, am sorry for your heartache. Your story and sweet page just touched my heart. Animals are so amazing, they just can sense what you need. I do hope Milo can bring you a bit of comfort. {{Hugs to you}}

Cindy, I am sorry you have lost your sweet dog. I hope that Milo the cat will help heal the pain.  Your page for the challenge is well set out. 

It's always sad to say goodbye to our fur babies. I'm so glad you got another pet. Such lovely journaling. 

So very sorry for your lose, I am hoping with time your tears are replaced with Smiles as you remember all the fond times, and continue to build new memories with Milo.
