Journaling:
Sunday marked the 40th anniversary of my dad’s passing. He was only 62, and missed out on so many things - he never got to see any of my children or really get to know Dave. We had only been married just under 3 years when he passed, I miss him terribly.

Monday I woke up to a mess. The coffee pot  overflowed and ruined my recipe book full of Instant Pot recipes I had printed out. I can re-print them, but yuck.

Former First Lady Barbara Bush died this week, she was 92 years old, God bless her, I had such respect for her even though I didn’t always agree with her husband’s or son’s decisions when they served as President. She was a champion of children and education, and she will be missed.

Tuesday night Dave and I provided dinner for our women’s group, LOL (Ladies Of LaVergne!) It was simple deli sandwiches and chips from Publix, but there was enough left to feed the Food Pantry volunteers the next morning.

Pastor is out of town for one more week, so no news about the music job. We’re really anxious to hear something because Dave’s job is not going well at all.  Lots of anxiety there, too.

I laughed at the cartoon on the left, but this weather has been just crazy. We’re a month into spring already and still have freezing temps overnight.

By the end of the week we had much better forecasts, so I went ahead and hung my hummingbird feeder outside the dining room window. I bought the same flowering plants I’ve had there before, they were very hardy the past two summers. They are called ‘mandevilla’. My church friend, Sue, already has one hummer visiting her feeders!

A lovely week of photos and happenings in your life.  Our weather has also been unseasonable but this weekend we had some rain and now is it cool like it should be this time of year here in Australia.

What a pretty page, Becky and I love the cheerful color combo you used!  Sure does brighten days that were experiencing such winter weather - here in NJ, too and your cartoon is hilarious!   I liked seeing your Dad, what a handsome and kind looking man.   I lost my Dad young at 50 and it’s one thing I always wonder, what he would have been like as an older man.   Your flowers are so pretty, my sister in Indiana got her first hummers this week so they must be on their way and maybe by now you have some!   :)

I always enjoy reading your journaling --- You capture your week so well. I especially like that you bring in news, too, and even weather. It's a great way to look back and remember.
