Project Life Week 23, 2018
Journaling:
My Easter lilies are late bloomers this year! They bloomed this week, but it’s been so hot they didn’t last very long. We have reached the stage where we share a frozen pizza now and call it quits.
I like pepperoni and Dave doesn’t, so I move all the pepperoni over to my side! When I opened this one, it seemed very happy to see me.
As I expected, we didn’t make it to the dedication of the Capt. Jeff Kuss memorial, but we tried to watch it online. The connection was not good at all, but it was a wonderful ceremony to honor this brave man. Some of our church kids sang in the chorus and played in the band. The street was lined with hundreds of American Flags.
We went over later in the afternoon to get a closer look, and we found the brick that we had donated to help raise funds. It’s right under the cockpit of the plane where Dave is standing in the photo.
It’s beautiful at night, and points toward the runway at our local airport. During the dedication, his remaining squad members did a fly-over in the Missing Man formation. So very sad.
