I used a background blender and opacity/blending modes for background blending.  I also used Syndee’s Vintage Postcard Action on the photo.
When I was at my sister’s in IN on our way home from KY we passed this barn.
For this layout I used:
SNU SS Actions Vintage Postcard
BMU SS Background Blenders 5
VJS Nature’s Own Papers & Emb
SRO SS Personalized Post
AFT Antique Edges
BMU SS Papers Edgers Biggie
and my own photo

You have created a great page for this challenge. Nice choice of background paper and the action on the photo has worked well for your page.

Wow! This is stunning!! Love the photo treatment and your blending is perfect. Thanks for joining the challenge. I have to remember to take my camera along today...there is an old barn I've been meaning to photograph and you've inspired me to do it!

Thanks Carla and everyone!  Funny thing is, I’ve been in a scrapping slump and this one was hard going but I like how it came out.  Plus, I’m always taking photos of old barns in Indiana as we drive along and each time I do I think of how Jody would take an old beaten-down photo and make a gorgeous page out of it.    I even said that to my sister.   Hers were much more creative but at least I DID get a page out of it!  :)

I actually thought of Jody when I saw your layout! I've print this out, frame it and hang it on my wall if I were you!

The vintage action is just perfect for that photo! I love your blending, too and the great edge on the page as well. The whole layout came together beautifully!

Hey don't knock yourself, Marilyn! This is gorgeous! I love the vintagey feel and how superbly you blended everything! I've forgotten about Syndee's action.
